How To Post on Indyish Podcast

We just launched the Indyish Podcast, which is the new podcasting component to Indyish.com -

Features include:
A set of publishing tools (similar to those used on our blog) geared specifically towards producing and developing a podcast series. Podcast Episodes that are published through this system are optimized for popular podcasting directories like: iTunes, Yahoo Podcasts, Podcast Alley, Podcastready, Odeo, and more. Currently on Indyish Podcast, you’ll find the first set of episodes in our Pre-Fringe Radio Play series. We’ll be adding more in the near future.

Step by step guide to posting: (some of these are optional)

1. Go to the Indyish Podcast backend (the Dashboard) and hover over the Write button, then click on Write Post.

2. At the Write Post page, enter a Title and your Post content (brief description of your podcast episode).

3. Next, choose a category for your podcast episode. This ensures that your podcast is published and received by the right listeners / subscribers.

4. Upload Audio or Video content. Skip this step if your media files are already hosted online somewhere else on the internet.

5. Click the “Media” button to get the podcasting options.

6. Fill out the following 3 fields: Location (URL), Title (optional), Type (MP3, MP4, MOV, AVI, MPG, FLV, etc.)

7. Optionally, click the Auto Detect buttons to attempt to detect details like length, size, and any ID3 information.

8. Optionally, click the Show button to alter any iTunes specific settings.

9. Finally, click Save and Continue, or just Save to preview your draft (previews is found at the bottom of the Write Post page).
