I found it on Facebook through my good pal actor extraordinaire Adam Kelly.
Our theatre company Poor Tom Productions brought The Anorak written and performed by Adam, to
Moving on.
Though audiences were small, those who saw The Anorak are still talking about it and one local women’s group wants to bring it back to K-Town next December.
The upside of that – Tom and I get to see our new pal again.
As one who has been seeing theatre on a regular basis for 30 years and that includes
I think the q and a helps Adam decompress as well the audience.
It takes balls to get out there and do a one person show and even more to portray a reviled killer in Canadian history.
The Anorak is alarmingly relevant.
It is a fearless Canadian work that many more people across the country should see. Because if they did, they would sit up and realize that these sorts of events are not going to go away.
In fact, they are increasing with alarming regularity, as headlines about school and campus shootings splash across the front page almost daily.
That’s a terrifying thought.
