Head in Your Stomach

the head in his stomachThe Leonard and Bina Ellen Gallery in Montreal is a Concordia University gallery dedicated to exposition, interaction, performance, education, and publishing. This month the gallery presents a show called La Tete au Ventre, or the Head in Your Stomach. Curator Mathieu Beauséjour writes: “La Tête au ventre is a celebration of flesh – our flesh – which circulates among these works of art, becomes part of them, looks them in the eye, recognizes itself in them. By thinking through our stomachs, we uncover what is profoundly human in our relationship to the Other; not in terms of identity, but in terms of carnality.” check out the rest of the press release here.
JANUARY 18 – FEBRUARY 24 2007

head at stomach

you have to allow me to vent geek for a second here. this flyer, which i received in an email that contained pretty much nothing else, is all image no text so our blind fellow citizens are screwed; and the file title had spaces, periods and other file formats in it which my server and most browsers would reject if i hadn’t changed it. it’s about accessibility people! ok. i think it’s out of my system.
