Griffintown Jam Saturday Afternoon. Also: Nothing but Gumboots

This Saturday, Oct 3 2008, if you come down to the grounds for the Remember Griffintown event by noon you can enjoy live music performed by a 6 piece acoustic Irish group put together by Elizabeth Johnston. After the group plays, we’ll be offering a free gumboots lesson, which will be awesome, followed by a whole lovely evening of incredible bands and performers; but also, Elizabeth and all of us would like to invite musicians to join us for a bit of a quiet jam on the side. If we can get the jammers up on stage for a bit over the course of the day we will, but either way, we will find a cozy spot in the lofty parky area that surrounds the stage and tent, and we will add some more music to the space while we occupy it. I’m bringing my purple ukulele. Here’s a map!!
