FRIDAY, APRIL 6: LOOSE JOINTS PRESENTS SPECULATOR AND RON MORELLI @ LE SOCIAL, 1445 BISHOP (MTL) - NO COVER!

This Friday, April 6, LOOSE JOINTS is proud to host two very big talents from the italo/electro and neo-disco movements. SPECULATOR (William Thomas Burnet) and RON MORELLI are visiting from New York for their first Montreal DJ appearances, and it promises to be a memorable show. Both are active members of the Cybernetic Broadcasting System ( www.cbs.nu), a massive online resource for vintage and contemporary electronic music, founded by the legendary DJ I.F.

SPECULATOR produces as Smackulator with Danny Wolfers (Legowelt), collaborates with Eliot Lipp and members of Unit 4, and has releases on Bunker, Creme Records and others. He currently chairs a radio show in NYC (Shortbus Radio on eastvillageradio.com), DJ’s two weeklies and has toured extensively through Europe and the US, including the Fuse-In Detroit festival.

RON MORELLI recently moved to NYC from Philadelphia, where he singlehandedly kept the leftfield dance scene afloat with his Reagan Disco Headache and Paradise nights, booking luminaries such as Sal Principato of Liquid Liquid and Tim Sweeney of DFA/Beats In Space. Ron just completed a US tour with the Novamen and has produced with Brennan Green (Nuphonic, Coco Machete, Output) for Jet Set Records, Japan.

We’ve moved to the second floor of Le Social (1445 Bishop, the old Mansion), which has been recently renovated with a full soundsystem makeover and is more impressive than ever. The night is still NO COVER, and promises to to be a blast of the magnitude requiring drywall repair.
