Expozine 07 reviews to come… Also check out Bibliographe

by alanah

I was into to ‘zines before I even knew that they existed.

Maybe all writers went through this phase in the desperate high school days when you were the only person you know who wrote poems, and certainly the only one who had ever felt this way; when you were all delusions of grandeur and no notion of the publishing industry. In such desperate times, who hasn’t at least momentarily believed that their scrawled poems and manifestos, the doodles in the margins of their classroom notes and the photocopier at Mom’s office could change the world?

Bibliograph - Montreal’s Zine LibraryWe at Indyish want to bring you reviews and highlights from Expozine, Montreal’s annual indie publishing fair. Unlike theatre and music reviews, ‘zines take a little time to ruminate (read: read) but we promise to blog as we consume our Expozine purchases over the next few days.

In the meantime, if you are nicking for more Indie ink, check out Bibliographe, the permanent ‘zine library housed at Le Cagibi (corner Saint-Laurent and Saint-Viateur).
