We are open to putting anything up on the stage: poetry, fashion shows, clogging, short films, projections, bands, comedians, tap dancing, shadow puppetry, or all of these at once accompanied by a harmonica.

FRINGE MESS June 12
Parc Des Ameriques – 4pm to 9pm
This Mess will feature as many 1 minute mini previews of Fringe shows as we can cram in between the following amazing bands. To participate email monthlymess@indyish.com:
Courtney Wing invites his listeners into a compelling world of carefree and unpretentious humanity… backed by a 15-piece ‘operatic folk’ ensemble. This super group consists of members from Belle Orchestre and Godspeed! You Black Emperor as well as a 10-piece opera collective called Liederwolfe.
The story of electro-pop duo Hexes & Ohs begins with a pair of high school sweethearts and spans years of couple-hood and musical projects. Their sophomore 2008 release “Bedroom Madness”, produced by Byron Wong (the Crystal Method, David Usher), has been bringing them new levels of success. The band successfully toured across Canada, quickly topping national campus radio charts and garnering rave reviews from press and media. The infectious video for first single “H-H-Highschool” is currently in rotation at MuchMusic and MTV Canada.
Hank Pine and Lily Fawn are a vaudeville-inspired duo from Victoria, British Columbia, whose act is based upon the tragic and hilarious adventures of their comic book series.
Victory Chimes
After spending a number of years playing keyboards and bass in various rock and jazz bands(Royal Mountain Band, Moufette, Fearless Freep, Vox Crosby, Dr. Draw, the Jeff Louch Trio, N.L.S Trio, and piano player at a polish restaurant) in Montreal, Jeff Louch has started a solo project. He is now joined Alex Formosa on guitar, Michelle Tompkins on guitar and voice, Tony Spina on bass and Tyson Scallmann on drums.
Ladies Luncheon
Ladies Luncheon wrap naughty little bundles of lyrics up with their sweet soda-pop harmonies. Combining keys, guitar, and their distinctive Roland 77 beats with recorder solos and the occasional nervous breakdown, the ladies have been happily giving Montrealers diabetes since their saccarine performance debut in the summer of 2005.
Singer Songwriters in the Round:
James Finnerty, Steve Brockley, Molly Sweeney, Declan O’Donovan, Sarah Burton.
Jamming it out, backing each other up, gracing the stage with song to set the tone of the evening, a collection of truly great local singer songwriters come together to get this party started.
