euphoreador – You gotta respect a passionate guy

euphoreador is Josh, Indyish Community Developer and one of the coordinators of the Monthly Mess.

He is also a painter, singer, soundscape artist, poet, producer, prone to pun making and big question asking. He’s a pretty funny and generally uplifting guy, and quite distinctive with his big grin and blonde dreads (that make me miss Elran’s dreadlock days) and frequent leather pants.

Euphoreador is a contraction of Euphoria and Toreador, as though joy and euphoria were something so strong in currents around Josh and all of us they can be danced with in that dangerous bull fighter type ballet. The dance is the making of art, and the kinda meta-art of of communication generally. Josh is passionate about peace and artistic collectivity and acts of creation that transcend social circles or cultural boundaries or perceptions of what should be.

He brought people together to make art in Minneapolis and in Beijing, and now we’re lucky to have met him here in Montreal, particularly because of the international perspective he brings. After a series of reviews and interviews as an Indyish contributor, and a demonstrated ability to pull people together with the Mess, he is the newest artist on Indyish.com. In that capacity we hope he’ll keep hounding us on behalf of artists to make Indyish better, more accessible, more open, more useful, more cooler, etc.
