In fact, I must have had my back turned at the launch when he bought it and got it signed by Blanchet. And by signed, I mean decorated the last page with an illustration of my name. I read it on my way from Montreal to Halifax and the whole way people kept glancing over my shoulder to try to see what I was looking at. Also, I got #21 of the McSweeney's Quarterly from a friend who had done his gift shopping at Drawn and Quarterly. So good! My friends have been rocking the gift. I suggest stepping into D+Q or ordering something online if you wanna nail gift-giving right down. My friend John got me White Rapids for the holidays, and it’s beautiful!
