Drama Mess Updates! Body Painting by Mélanie Ann Fallnbigl and Barbeque!

We’ve got some updates regarding the Drama Mess happening at OFF Intrarts tomorrow, Saturday April 26th!

For one, our friends at Afro Bytes will be setting up shop to offer all some tasties off the Barbeque! What better way to celebrate the change in weather with a back yard BBQ, tasty (cheap) McAuslan beers and a show?

AND a talented body painter we’ve come across, Mélanie Ann Fallnbigl, will be coming by at 7pm to paint everyone and anyone who would like to be made a little more special for the evening. Check out her pics:

“Je fais du bodypainting depuis maintenant 8 ans, et je vais cette année participer au World Bodypainting Festival à Seeboden en Autriche les 18, 19 et 20 juillet 2008.
Le corps et un merveilleux canevas pour la peinture, et je me laisse souvent inspirer par mes modèles pour créer de personnages, lorsque l’oeuvre n’a pas déjà un thème pré-établi, comme dans les concours. Ce n’est donc pas seulement de la peinture corporelle décorative, c’est un maquillage qui déforme et reforme.

Je travaille surtout au pinceau et à l’éponge , mais je fais aussi de l’aérographie (air brush), dans tous genres d’événements: faceoainting pour enfants, maquillage d’effets spéciaux pour l’halloween, ou présentation de bodypainting pour réchauffer l’ambiance dans une soirée et alimenter les conversations…”

We’ve also added two short films featuring puppetry by puppet master Chloé BP, readings by Alison Louder as well as a preview of the upcoming Kidnapper Films feature!

Cool, yo! The weather is supposed to fantastic, so be ready to hit the back yard too. And there’s even a small pile of snow, so we can have a short snowball fight… See y’all there!
