Date with a Demo comes to Montreal

Below is some information about a Songwriters Association of Canada event taking place in Montreal next week. Even if you don’t need/want to have your music reviewed, it will still be an excellent networking event to meet other artists and industry folks!

Get valuable insight and information from professionals in the music business! Date With a Demo is your chance to meet fellow songwriters and begin or expand your network, while getting personal feedback on your demo from a distinguished panel that can include pro songwriters, A&R reps, publishers, music supervisors, and more. Music of all genres and songwriters of all levels are welcome. It is not necessary to bring a song to attend and hear what the panelists have to say.

Songs are selected at random and a section is played for the entire group (usually verse and chorus) and the panel comments on the relative merits of each song from both a craft and business point of view.

Songs must be submitted on audio CD and accompanied by two paper copies of the lyrics for the panelists.

*Doors open at 6:30pm and event start at 7pm. Please come early to ensure that your song can get submitted for review.

Due to time constraints, some songs may not be reviewed.
