Concerto Della Donna: A Super-Cool Awesome show tonight
by sarah pearsonHear ye! Those of you out there who are interested in experimental contemporary music should check out the show I’m in tonight.
I’m in a chamber ensemble called Concerto Della Donna, and we have our seasonal concert this evening. We’re an 18-voice ensemble conducted by Maestro Iwan Edwards, who recently retired as the choral director for the Montreal Symphony Orchestra.
We’re doing a whole whack-load of cool music – super-funky harmonies, ambient-like arrangements and complexly percussive six-part songs. Don’t miss it!
Show’s doing down tonight at 8pm at Christ Church Cathedral, St. Catherine between Union and University (McGill metro). Tickets are 10 for students, 20 for adults. More info is on the website.
