Celebrate La Revolution with Kalmunity tonight

This Friday January 26 at the SALA ROSA, 4848 St. Laurent, there will be an event not to be missed! For all those who have been waiting to see Montreal’s Kalmunity Collective in a larger venue and share in our plans for 2007, we are presenting:

Fèt La Révolution.

We are looking forward to dropping the fresh Kalmunity live organic improv, and feeding you not only in mind but in body too, with vegan cuisine by ITAL LIVITY. We will also be introducing you to an upcoming project involving many of Kalmunity’s members: The Talking Book anthology.

Doors open at 9pm and the show will kick off at 10pm with a set featuring some of the pieces included in the anthology, and another upcoming project, the Intimate Sky CD. We’ll give you a second set that features a special Kalmunity blend of Reggae styles, and our last set is for ol’ school funk and hip hop lovers. We will be hitting you with a full nine piece band and a barrage of Montreal’s illest, most thought provoking lyricists. We’ll try to keep you keep you moving between sets with some special selections.

Two rare advance copies of the Talking Book will be won in a raffle contest. We thank you all for supporting Kalmunity and all our events. Please put this special one on your calendar this Friday, we can’t wait to see you there.

We’re asking for a 7 $ donation at the door, a raffle ticket is 2 $, and there will be soul food on sale too.
