Hey, you guys ever been here? It rocks. They’re looking for visual artists to put their work up on the walls. It’s a really sweet cafe and lots of regulars, students, artists, and other interesting people come in to enjoy the damn good food and friendly conversation provided by their hard-working staff of two.
If you know of anyone with wall-hangable pieces they’d like to have up in Blue Monday, get in touch with Chantal or Pete at: blumonday@gmail.com
Here’s a little write up on the place:

Verdun’s Wellington Ave. is home to more than a few great lunch spots. One of the street’s highlights is locally-owned Cafe Blue Monday which boasts an entirely vegan (vegetarian plus no eggs, no milk, etc.) menu of home-made sandwiches, soups, and salads.
Royal blue walls and crisp white couches make this sweet cafe an uplifting and comfortable place to do work whether or not you take advantage of free wireless internet access courtesy of Ile Sans Fil. If you’re looking for something other than light lunch fare they serve brunch (with a reservation) and a wide range of baked goods prepared on site to be enjoyed alongside a smoothie, shake, or fresh fruit juice. They also offer a nice selection of organic teas and fair-trade coffee to compliment any meal.
Just don’t try to stop by on Monday. Co-owners and cooks, Chantal Cote and Pierre Beaudoin, spend their blue mondays baking and preparing for another week of serving their dedicated patrons. And it pays off for this small-scale wonder of Verdun which awaits your discovery.

maybe tyler (my neural art) should have a poster show!
you know what would be cool to do if you were going to hang posters in a cafe? get good writing about each show to go with, describing the music and the feeling of that night. if you could find writing for each one.
and you know who was probably at every show actually- andrew rose - dudes pretty busy though with pop montreal and all. pretty fine writer though, would defintely be cool.
nice write up there tessa, btw, definitely makes me want to check out blue monday. it’ll probably do the trick perfectly, gigwise.
;)
