auto-shading for discontinued products

this feature has been requested a few times by some of our artists. the basic idea is that instead of deleting old products that you used to sell on indyish, why not just mark them as “No Longer Being Produced” whic would automatically change the style of the post (but leaving the original info intact). Although the item in question would no longer be for sale (and you would be able to add it to your cart anymore) - it would still appear on the site but it would be grayed out (lighter). The advantage here is that, as an artist, you would still be able to show your entire repertoire, gallery, portfolio, or whatever - but your customers would now have an easy and obvious way to tell if they’ll ever be able to buy that item again.
