About: I'm mostly a composer, originally from Halifax, but living in Montreal since 2003. I come from a classical music background, and play oboe and piano, but I like all kinds of music, and right now I'm trying to learn how to play fiddle!
Making hats, jewellery, and other crafts, is a nice complement to composing, since writing music is such a long, slow process and results in something fairly abstract and intangible, while making a hat takes only a few days, and results in something very concrete!
