Well, I haven’t seen the set list for Saturday’s Kinks Tribute Night, I don’t know what songs the Besnard Lakes will do, or Bionic, but since I’m still waiting on some interviews from other bands playing the night, here’s a little sample platter of classic Kinks songs covered, some good, some maybe a little disturbing! Alright!
Here’s The Acoustic Project doing Lola. A local musical comedy act here in Montreal used to do a Weird Al style rendition of this song using the word Ebola. Fun Fact.
Here’s a band called The Moog doing I Need You in Budapest.
Here’s a small germanic girl named Theodora doing You Got Me… this one creeps me out to be honest…
Annnd to put us back in a less vaguely sinister places, it’s the Shakes!
