
One Neck’s lines are quick, but they cut deep. They settle into a disturbing place in your brain, as though it was you thinking those disturbing thoughts about animals with faces in their claws. And this piece, like much of his work, is whole feeling, if you know what I mean. Though everything feels like it was done in a frenzy, there is also a sharpness to it, and the elements seem set off in a balanced, humming, colourful way that’s almost like gravity. it hangs together with such satisfying tension that you might just want to hang it on your wall or something, just to keep it around so you can look at it and remember things about the strangeness of all us animalzz.
