Hey, if you’re looking for some listening fodder on a Sunday or some other day, there’s a new Lickety-Split oddcast up on the Indyish podcast. It got slipped in there a few days ago and has been cruising groovily beneath the radar ever since:

And as promised, we will have the Indyish MonthlyMess11 - City Mess podcast up shortly. We’re loving the podcast action!, it’s so cool to hear from artists around the network, I feel we’ll be getting even more aural action in the new year. The recording of Indyish live shows has been our dream, and is rockin into reality with a donated vintage sound board (a story for another blog) and the expertise and initiative of James Finnerty, who oversaw the recording onto ssssweet casssssette whilst manning the sound board at Friday night’s show. James is on mini-tour in Toronto for the next week, so expect the pod sometime after he comes home.
If you’re looking for more City Mess coverage, beyond the mad mid-Mess shots, oy, we’re trying to gather what we can! Thanks to a surprise volunteer who works with Etsy.com, we’ll have video from the show at some point, but I can’t say when, sorry, you’ll have to stay tuned. This dear dude’s improvised videography, including mounting the camera from the rafter in time to catch the band Lake of Stew, was hugely wildly appreciated. I hope to see the footage soon, not least because it’s evidence that the stage we built day-of-and-day-before before the show was capable of withstanding the 7 member jam that is the Stew! (Whew!)
Ah uh, and lastly, when I say we put that small but sturdy stage in, I mostly mean another friendly volunteer, Steve Portigal, a volunteer who these days techs professionally for Cirque de Soleil…
Man, let’s say another thank heavens again for team-mates, allies and friends, eh?!
