Technological Keys to Indyish for Artists

This is quick overview of some Indyish features and characteristics.

This means the link to your profile page has your Indyish username in it. Your blog posts and products have optimized url’s as well. This helps you rank well in searches, and helps people remember your url. Ex: Indyish.com/author/Risa.

Our entire site is in a powerful open source database, so is always pretty easy to find what you’re looking for by using the search function on Indyish or any search engine.

Of course, these should not be taken as a guarantee of what your Google results will be like on Indyish. Results fluctuate daily. Still, Google considers us 88% optimized and we know what we need to do next to climb higher.

This is an added form of classification for digital content which allows users to build new archives on the fly by repeating tags. These archives become relatively-sized links in the tag cloud on the front page of Indyish. These new archives accumulate great search value on their own, and that effect is increased because our tags get listed in over 2 dozen blog listing sites every time a new post with tags is published on Indyish.

On Indyfeed Central Indyish viewers can grab RSS feeds to subscribe to select sections of the site, receiving instant updates from every Indyish category or item they choose.

From the bottom up we depend on open source servers, operating systems, languages, and programs (linux, apache, mysql, php, java script, jquery). Most notably, our whole site is built around an open source content management and blogging system called Wordpress.
