A Reminder to All Indyish Artists who still haven’t made “the switch” to new-style shipping

Way back in December, we started using regional shipping (Canada, USA, and International) on indyish.com. But, since none of the older products on indyish had shipping prices set in this new way, we couldn’t simply switch all artists over to the new system without causing all their old products to become unavailable.

Instead, we decided it would be best if artists with products from before this period were able to migrate over to the new system at their own convenience.

What this means for Indyish Artists (who still need to make “the switch”) is:
1. all your older products are still using old-style shipping (but ARE working fine)
2. all your new products, published prior to december 2006, are using new-style regional shipping (but ARE NOT working, even if they have a shipping price set)

To fix this you need to turn on “use custom shipping” in “Your Extended Profile”.

Just log in, and go to “Profile” >> “Your Extended Profile” in the back-end. Then, scroll down to the bottom of the page and check off the section marked: “use custom shipping” to switch over to the new shipping system. Don’t forget to click the “Update User” button before you leave the page or your changes won’t stick.

Then what will happen is:
1. all your older products are now using new-style regional shipping (but ARE NOT working until you add new shipping prices). just edit each product and add a shipping price to make it available again.
2. all your new products, since december 2006, are using new-style regional shipping (but ARE working properly now, as long as they have a shipping price set)
