Whew! Indyish wrapped another crazy show last night, complete with Dinosaur Comic opera thanks to Liederwolfe, and beautiful contemporary dance, and then a fricken dance party. Here are some quickie photos I wanted to share and I’ll have some tiny video bits and more coming a bit later.
Here’s shot from soundcheck:

Here’s David Ryshpan on piano and laptop and Amy Blackmore midst an improvisational contemporary dance that brought here right up into the audience, though they schooched back to give her room (and in true Mess fashion, spent the first half of the night sitting on the floor, cozy and intent, though you can’t see them here):

By the second half of the night, no one was on the floor anymore and good thing because they woulda been trampled. The Darling Demaes, who always make me glow with love for their music and vibe, got the dancing started. And then the young sparkly pop disco metal country kittens Spiral Beach blew the proverbial roof off. You gotta love a band that travels with their own smoke machine, exudes pure joy when they play, seems to have no interest in “genre,” and turns the 70ish people left in the room at 2am into a spinning frothy happy herd of dervishes:
