maybe not so much a cry… maybe more of a tap on the shoulder…I’ve been using stencils to screen for years and I would really like to learn that other process. With the photoemulsion. I need to find a someone that can spend some time teaching me how to photo-emulse (sp?) I’ve tried. And I have failed. I might not have the right stuff, or I might not do it right, and I am not going to risk another wasted screen. I’ve read the tutorials online. I sat through a demo with a guy with all the pro stuff. But what I think I’d like best is to see someone’s at home do it yourself set up and go through the process with their stuff and watch… and learn. So… if anyone knows how and is willing to help out I’d appreciate it.
Hello,
heard your cry for help. here is my advice. you need a light table and some photo emulsion stuff called “imageon” (sp?) You squeegee imageon on like you would screen filler. then wait for it to dry. 2 hours+… and then you put the acetate (with the image that you want to transfer) on top of the light table, and then your screen on top of that. Turn on the light for like 30 seconds in a dark room (this is just like photography darkroom-photograms. ) …presto.
