You like options? I do. I like dictating creation and then watching as some talented gal turns my book into a handbag. I don’t like the idea of gutting books, especially given how much I love some of them, but I hate to think of how many are out there, feeling useless and unloved. I’m sure, now that I’m anthropomorphizing books, that there are tons of piles of books out there, just wishing and hoping that all the work that went into their spines and jackets could be made worthwhile again. Literature in Transit goes beyond worthwhile to stylish and funky, and you should try to get a piece of that action, if you can.
Think up a favorite book and this artist will try to find it for you- that’s part of the fun of this project for her. There are some books she won’t transform though, out of respect for her Mom. ie: no Bibles, no major religious texts. OK folks? So don’t tempt her by asking. It’s not going to happen.
