I’ve been spending a lot of time between my bedroom/office and meetings at cafes lately working to get the Assembly Relay ready for the Screening this Saturday. I’ve been listening to far too much Panda Bear and My Bloody Valentine, which have become my work bands of choice.
As of yesterday, the Scriptbook is laid out and sent to my printer friend, *safe solvent. Dude also happens to be one of the filmmakers in the Assembly and he printed the lovely posters, so say hi to him at the screening, pick up a zine, and compliment him on his amazingness.
The Scriptbook is gonna be pretty neat. It brings together all the scripts from the seven films with illustrations from seven different artists. It’ll be a nice little reference point while watching the films to see what they started as, and it gives more info on Indyish, Celtx, and the Assembly.
After the screening, I’m working to get together a full Project Book that’ll include way more material, including Risa’s interview with Celtx, photos and blog posts from throughout the project, bios of the participants, tips for using celtx after having worked with it for a month, a network map of assembly handoff paths, script re-writes, video stills, storyboards, and mucho mucho moreee.
We’re also putting together a DVD of all the films with and without their audio tracks. The DVD will have crazy special features too, like footage from the screening and interviews with participants.
I can’t believe the screening is in 4 days. Just gotta get all the films ready to screen, set the musicians up to perform, print the zine, arrange the rock opera with Liederwolfe, and then we’re good to go.
yeah, can’t wait to see everybody’s movies!
also - go tbag!
